Aurora Anguilla Resort & Golf Club Announces Exciting Updates and Experiences for 2023

RENDEZVOUS BAY, ANGUILLA(January 12, 2023) – Aurora Anguilla Resort & Golf Club has kicked off the new year with a variety of exciting announcements and new experiences at the recently renovated resort. From its direct charter flights in New York and Florida for easy travel, a new nine-hole golf course, a 500-seat amphitheatre for lively entertainment to additional dining options, there are even more reasons for people to visit beautiful Aurora Anguilla. The addition of these world-class amenities and distinct programming are the latest efforts of Aurora Anguilla's owner Richard M. Schulze, who is dedicated to making the property the finest in the Caribbean while also appealing to a broad range of travelers.

Charter Flights

For the new year, Aurora Anguilla introduced the Aurora Anguilla Public Air Charter Service as a travel option to and from the resort, departing Westchester County Airport in New York and arriving in Anguilla at Clayton J. Lloyd International Airport. The addition of this program offers extended flexibility and comfort to guests visiting the property following its multi-million-dollar enhancement. There are two direct flights per week on Thursdays and Sundays. Additionally, the resort will launch Friday-Monday pattern flights from Fort Lauderdale Hollywood International Airport. Aurora guests can simply add their flight to an existing room reservation. The planes have alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverage service, meal service and flight attendants. The charter flights are operated by Best Jets International.

Golf

The property recently opened its nine-hole short course, Avalon Links, a world-class short course designed by Greg Norman Course Design with stunning views of Rendezvous Bay. Featuring eight par three holes and one par four, the course unfolds with a variety of shot angles, distances, and carefully integrated design elements to make it playable and fun for accomplished and novice golfers alike. Avalon Links complements the resort’s championship course, Aurora International Golf Club, which has undergone a comprehensive remastering to its 18-hole championship layout by Greg Norman Course Design. Collectively, they offer the only golf experience on the island.

Amphitheater

The Aurora Anguilla Activity Park opened its first component on New Year’s Eve – a 500-seat amphitheatre complemented by sweeping ocean views of Cove Bay. The amphitheatre’s launch was celebrated with live music and dancing to ring in the new year, as well as fireworks.

Additional concerts have been held since and received rave reviews. With views of the Aurora International Golf Course, the state-of-the-art facility offers as spectacular sound as well as a variety of food trucks. The full concert schedule can be viewed here and features weekly performances and events celebrating music icons, including Elton John, Fleetwood Mac, George Michael, Bruce Springsteen and Bon Jovi. Tickets can be purchased at the resort, on its website or via this link

The Activity Park will unveil further amenities over the coming year, including a world-class tennis center, pickleball courts, climbing wall, beach volleyball, clay bocce and basketball courts, and a 9-hole mini golf course. A stunning family-friendly pool complex featuring a waterpark, splash pad, zero entry pool, lazy river, slide tower, and private and family cabanas will also debut in Spring 2023.

Food & Beverage

Aurora Anguilla has unveiled two new culinary experiences for diners. D Richard’s Steakhouse, a fine dining establishment located at the Aurora International Golf Club, is now open for dinner. Executive Chef Alex Sotero brings international style and Brazilian flair to the island’s only steakhouse with a menu featuring perfectly cooked steaks and post-tee-time drinks. Guests can also now dine at the reimagined Tokyo Bay restaurant, five years following its closure due to Hurricane Irma. Tokyo Bay features approachable, modern Japanese cuisine amid a tropical setting where guests can explore a diverse set of dishes from Sashimi to Makimono. Under the direction of Executive Chef Joe Richardson who offers a modern vision of storied Japanese cuisine, the menu is artfully prepared with traditional techniques and further elevated by homemade soy sauce, vegetables grown on-property, the finest seafood sourced from all over the world, and the largest selection of sake on-island.
