Salamander Collection, the medley of hotels and resorts founded by uber-entrepreneur Sheila Johnson, is growing fast.
The sprawling 807-acre resort pays homage to the charm and elegance of 1960s Palm Beach chic, with lots of palm trees, period furniture pieces and grandiose chandeliers.
The four golf courses used on the Florida Swing are all ranked in the top nine on the Golfweek's Best list of the top public-access golf courses in Florida.
The property was purchased in a joint venture with luxury boutique hotel brand Salamander Hotels and club and resort community operator South Street Partners.
Originally opened in 1981, the The 807-acre PGA National Resort offers 360 guestrooms and 99 holes of championship golf, including the Champion Course, the host since 2007 to a PGA Tour event now called The Cognizant Classic.
The Salamander Collection portfolio now includes the PGA National Resort in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.
